Ontario Community Youth Track Camp - Summer 2025

Ages: 3rd - 5th Grade

Price: $10, $20 out-of-district

Dates: May 20, 21, 27, and June 3 & 4

Times: 5:30 - 6:30pm

Place: OHS Track

Purpose: to learn basics of running, long jumping, throwing and track meets

Running Events:

•  50 meters
• 100 meters
• 200 meters
• 400 meters
• 800 meters
• 1600 meters (?)

Field Events:

• Standing long jump
• Running long jump
• Softball throw
• Frisbee throw

Baseball - Summer 2025

Rookies: boys age 7-8 (coach pitch)

Minors: boys age 9-10 *Age as of 5/1/25

Majors: boys age 11-12 *All players will need a mitt/glove. Cleats and pants are recommended but not required.*

Juniors: boys age 13-14

Games are set to begin the week of May 19th, with practices starting as soon as the week of May 5th, depending on the coach. Practices will be determined on coach's availability and games will be played in Ontario, Vale, Nyssa and Adrian.

Teams will only be created when a coach volunteers, if there is no coach, there is no team! All coaches will be awarded with a free program voucher good for any future program. All dates are subject to change.

**If you live outside of the Ontario School District boundaries, you are considered OUT OF DISTRICT and will be charged an additional $10.**

If your child is between the ages of 3 and 6, please register them for Co-Ed Wiffle Ball, T-Ball.

Co-Ed Wiffle Ball and T-ball - Summer 2025

Wiffle ball and T-Ball for girls and boys. Practices will be determined on coach's availability and games will be played in Ontario. Teams will only be created when a coach volunteers, if there is no coach, there is no team! All coaches will be awarded with a free program voucher good for any future program. 

Wiffle ball is for girls and boys ages 3-4, games played on Monday and Wednesday in June.

T-Ball is for boys and girls ages 5-6, games played on Tuesday and Thursday in June.

**If you live outside of the Ontario School District boundaries, you are considered OUT OF DISTRICT and will be charged an additional $10.**

Softball - Summer 2025

U8: age 7-8 (coach pitch)    *if we do not get enough girls to make 5 teams in this division, we will have them co-ed*

U10: age 9-10 *Age of 5/1/25

Better Bones & Balance - Annual 2020

Better Bones & Balance is a program for seniors who are interested in improving their overall health. BBB classes are designed to gradually improve balance and strength to avoid falls and maintain independence. Classes will be held in 6-week sessions, 3 days per week- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9:30-10:30 am. 

First Class is FREE! After your first class, $5 per individual class, $10 per week, or $40 for 6-week membership. 

Participants should be mobile without a walker. 

BB&B classes will be held in the Ontario Recreation District Splash Pad party room. 

5th/6th & 7th/8th Ontario Spring Football - Spring I 2025

Ontario Spring Football for 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade is starting soon!

PRACTICE

Practices are set to begin on March 3rd and will be held each week following OMS Spring Sports Practices from 6pm-8:00pm. Athletes that participate in a Spring Sport are encouraged to do both! Conditioning will not be required for those that do!

*Practices not held during Spring Break.

EQUIPMENT

Equipment handout will be the first week in March at the Ontario Recreation District office. Equipment will include a Helmet, Chin Strap, Shoulder Pads, Mouth Piece, Practice & Game Jerseys, and belt. We also have donated cleats, hip, thigh, butt, and knee pads that are first come first serve.

Equipment needed by players/parents: Cleats, Pants (Black), Girdle/Leg Pads. 

The teams will compete in the NorthWest Football Alliance League and games will be played in various locations on Saturdays beginning April 6th and ending May 18th.

REGISTRATION

Register today! The Ontario Recreation District currently has a sports scholarship fund available for those that need them. Priority is given to the In District participants for the teams. Out of District (Non-Ontario) athletes will be placed on a waitlist pending the approval by the coach and the available spots on teams following the registration period.

**Because of problems in the past with age, there will now be an age verification card that will be an additional $10. Coach will have more information on this at a later date.**
